SUMMARY:SDG Roundtable: Designing Smart & Healthy Buildings
DESCRIPTION:This event is being held in-person and virtually and is open to everyone. \nWe all want our buildings to minimize use of energy\, water\, and finite natural resources. Today\, the demand for decarbonizing our buildings has become more urgent thanks to climate change\, commensurate resource constraints\, and federal/state/local legislation. Innovators in this field have capitalized on our connected world and artificial intelligence–leading to the emergence of smart buildings. How do we design a building that is both smart and healthy? As we evolve on our path toward a carbon neutral future\, how do we ensure that the quality of life within our buildings continues to enhance and elevate the human experience — what can we learn from our international partners on how to future proof the built environment? \nIn Global Minnesota’s next sustainable development goals roundtable series we will examine how to Design Smart and Healthy Buildings.
