SUMMARY:Taylors Falls Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:This event is being held in-person and is open to international and globally-minded students. \nJoin Global Minnesota and other international and globally-minded students for a fun day trip exploring two unique Minnesota destinations: Taylors Falls and Lindström! \nThe adventure begins in Lindström\, a charming town known for its Swedish heritage. You’ll explore the famous Swedish Coffee Pot water tower\, see the Dala horse and Swedish-inspired murals\, visit downtown shops\, and stop by a local bakery. \nYou’ll then continue on to Interstate State Park in Taylors Falls for a bring-your-own-picnic lunch and an afternoon exploring the beautiful St. Croix River Valley. Light snacks will be provided. The adventure concludes with a trip to the Visitor Center\, a walk along the Glacial Potholes and Interpretive Trail\, and stops at Angle Rock and scenic river overlooks along the way. \nCome experience a different side of Minnesota and explore beyond the Twin Cities! \nAgenda:\n\n10:30 am: Departure from Global Minnesota\n11:30 am – 12:30 pm: Lindström (Swedish coffee pot\, Dala horse\, murals\, bakery & downtown shops)\n12:30 – 1:00 pm: Drive to Interstate State Park\n1:00 – 2:00 pm: Picnic Time (bring-your-own picnic lunch and beverage)\n2:00 – 2:10 pm: Drive to Visitor Center\n2:10 – 3:40 pm: Visitor Center + Glacial Potholes + Interpretive Trail + Angle Rock + river views\n3:40 pm: Regroup/restrooms\n4:00 – 5:00 pm: Drive back to Global Minnesota\n\nSpots are limited and will be filled on a first-come\, first-served basis. Global Minnesota staff and volunteers will provide transportation departing from our office in Minneapolis.
