DESCRIPTION:This program is SOLD OUT. \nThere is no better way to explore our Year of Italy than indulging in one of the cornerstones of Italian culture: its cuisine. Although Italy is home to a variety of regional culinary variations\, quality and simplicity of ingredients are common threads that link the Tuscan countryside to Sicilian coastlines. Whether it’s pasta alla norma\, pesce\, focaccia\, tiramisu\, or of course\, pizza\, Italy’s rich culinary tradition is interpreted and enjoyed around the world. \nSince opening in 2016\, Italian Eatery\, or ie\, has quickly become a fixture in South Minneapolis\, offering a fresh take on Italian cuisine rooted in seasonal and local ingredients. Italian Eatery’s ambiance captures the warmth of a rustic Umbrian farmhouse\, and the 10\,000 corks that line the dining room walls are a testament to the devotion and passion of owners Vanessa and Eric Carrara. \nJoin us for a special Culture Through Cuisine at the Italian Eatery as we experience the traditional Italian Aperitivo (happy hour). The evening will consist of heavy hors d’oeuvres of charcuterie and cheese\, roman meatballs\, short ribs\, calamari fritti\, bacon-wrapped dates\, bruschetta\, and tiramisu. Guests will also receive one complimentary craft cocktail of their choice. \nRegistration includes food\, non-alcoholic beverages\, tax\, and gratuity.
