DESCRIPTION:This event is being held in-person and is open to international and globally-minded students. This event is now AT CAPACITY. Please email Jo Mattos at jmattos@globalminnesota.org with any questions. \nCelebrate the holiday season with Global Minnesota at Union Depot’s “All Things Holiday Eve.” Together\, we’ll experience one of Minnesota’s festive winter traditions with sparkling lights\, seasonal music\, a European Christmas Market\, and movie night. \nOur evening begins at the Global Minnesota office\, where students will meet at 4:00 PM before riding the Green Line Metro Light Rail as a group to Union Depot. Once there\, you’ll be able to enjoy a live holiday music performance\, explore the European Christmas Market\, and join the community for the annual tree lighting ceremony. Students who wish to extend the evening are welcome to stay for the screening of Elf. \nAgenda:\n\n4:00 – 4:15 pm: Meet at Global Minnesota (for Minneapolis students)\n4:30: Walk to the East Bank Trail Station\n4:46: Green Line Light Rail Group Departure\n5:30: Arrival at Union Depot (meet St. Paul students in the Waiting Room near the Mistletoes Holiday Performance)\n5:30 – 6:00: Live Holiday Music Performance\, Free Hot Chocolate\, Photos\, & Craft Stations (indoor)\n6:00 – 6:45: European Christmas Market (outdoor)\n6:45 – 7:15: Annual Union Depot Tree Lighting Ceremony (outdoor)\n7:30 – 9:00: Optional Holiday Movie Night: Elf (indoor screening)\n8:00: Departure with staff to Global Minnesota via Light Rail\n\nA WhatsApp group will be created for anyone who wants to share public transit or ride share. \nIf you have questions\, require an accessibility accommodation\, or if you are International Student and Scholar Services staff who would like to join\, please contact Jo Mattos at jmattos@globalminnesota.org.
