May 30 @ 8:30 am CDT
/ FreeEvent Navigation
This event is being held virtually and in-person and is open to everyone.
More and more U.S. manufacturers are diversifying their operations in Southeast Asia. What are the origins of this trend and how can Minnesota businesses and exporters take advantage of these emerging markets?
Join Global Minnesota and Corporate Member Dorsey & Whitney to learn reasons why investors, boards of directors, and the U.S. government are increasingly encouraging U.S. businesses to consider this change. The event will feature insights and resources on the general business climate and opportunities in Southeast Asia, including specific opportunities in these industries: Automotive; Electronics; Medical Devices and Technology; Automated Manufacturing Systems; and Agribusiness.
Speakers include U.S. executives with experience living and running businesses in the Asia Pacific Region who will talk about the business case for diversification, including labor costs, labor availability, U.S. tariff distinctions, and investment incentives. Representatives of the Thailand Board of Investments will provide information about what Thailand has to offer U.S. businesses, including corporate tax holidays and other incentives for businesses locating there.
