Video Production Internship

In collaboration with staff and under the supervision of the Administrative Director, the Video Production intern will produce two to five short promotional videos from one to three minutes in length. The videos may focus on one program area or the entire organization, as needed. The core of the videos is likely to be still photos from Global Minnesota events and an existing set of design elements, however, video of interviews or programs may be incorporated into the final products as well.

Common Tasks

  • Take photos and possibly record videos of some Global Minnesota events, possibly including interviews. (Global Minnesota can provide cameras.)
  • Create two to five promotional videos, each one to three minutes long, working with Program and Communications staff regarding content

Qualifications

  • Degree or progress toward a degree in videography, fine arts, photography, marketing, communications, digital marketing, or a related field
  • Interest in global issues and Global Minnesota’s mission preferred
  • Proficiency in Shotcut or access to a comparable video editing software
  • Ability to collaborate with other staff members throughout the production process
  • Work experience with other nonprofits preferred
