Bachata Dance Introduction

This event is being held in-person and is open to everyone.

Ever wanted to learn Latin dance? Originating in the Dominican Republic, bachata is a style of social dance that has spread around the world. In addition to traditional bachata, styles such as bachata fusion and “bachatango” have emerged and reflect the ever-changing dynamics of global dance and music.

Join Global Minnesota for a fun evening of bachata dance for all skill levels! Connect with others and explore this classic style and its evolution to today. After a short presentation, enjoy a bachata basics dance lesson provided by Duende Dance Studio.

No partner needed! Attend alone or with a friend/partner, as we will rotate partners throughout the evening.
Attire: Clean and dry shoes are required – flat soled shoes, low heels, or clean sneakers are all fine.
