2027 High School Academic WorldQuest Competition

This event is being held in-person.

Join Global Minnesota at Mall of America for our annual high school Academic WorldQuest competition! This free, fun, and fast-paced knowledge competition challenges high school students to think globally about critical issues facing the U.S. and the world. Teams of four compete against other schools across the state to answer multiple choice questions on global topics including world affairs, current events, geography, history, and culture.

In addition, Global Minnesota will sponsor the winning team to represent Minnesota at the national Academic WorldQuest competition in Washington, D.C., presented by the World Affairs Councils of America. The visit will also feature professional development opportunities and embassy visits with hotel and airfare provided.

Competition Details

• Location: Mall of America
• Each high school (9-12 grade students) can register up to 2 teams of 4 students on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional teams are accepted as space allows.
• Dinner and refreshments provided for game players and their school chaperones.
• First place team receives a championship trophy for their school and the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. in April for the national competition including professional development meetings and embassy visits.
• Team Spirit Award: Let your spirit show with fun costumes and enthusiastic energy for a chance to win gift cards!
