At the nexus of Europe and Asia, Azerbaijan’s history of agriculture and pastoralism has created a diverse culinary culture. Absheron Palace brings this tradition to Minnesota, blending unique flavors and ancient cooking techniques from across the Mediterranean and Central Asia.
Join Global Minnesota in exploring the tastes of Azerbaijan at the next Culture through Cuisine! During the meal, restaurant owner Yulia Yakovleva will take you on a delicious journey through history and culture.
Registration includes appetizers, dinner, and taxes and tip. Dinner is served as a pre-set menu, so please let us know by October 30 if you have any dietary restrictions.

- Eggplant roll ups (fried Eggplant stuffed with walnuts, fresh garlic, mayo, fresh cilantro)
- Azeri salad (fresh cucumbers, Fresh tomatoes, garbanzo beans, red onion, fresh cilantro, Feta cheese tossed with sunflower seed oil, fresh lemon juice, salt and pepper)
- Pomidor dolmasi (stuffed tomatoes with beef)
- Azeri plof (cooked rice with kurkuma and clarified butter)
- Chicken Kourma (chicken drums, wings cooked with onions, apricots, raisins, chestnut)
