Culture Through Cuisine: Hungary
April 25 @ 6:00 pm CDT
/ $60 – $80
This event is being held in-person and is currently open to Global Minnesota and Minnesota Hungarians members. Ticket sales will open to the general public at a later date if space allows.
When you picture Transylvania, do you think of dramatic castles and unique medieval towns? What about its cuisine? Located in present-day Romania, Transylvania was once a significant part of the Kingdom of Hungary and its culinary traditions have been shaped by the Magyar people. The Magyars are an ethnic group primarily located in Hungary, and the word today is synonymous with Hungarian in the Hungarian language.
Global Minnesota, Creative Cultural Exchange, and the Minnesota Hungarians are delighted to welcome you to a special edition of Culture through Cuisine featuring the Honorary Consul of Hungary in Minnesota, Csilla Grauzer! She has curated a special menu of both Hungarian and Transylvanian dishes. During dinner, Csilla will also share more about the history of Hungary and the culture of the fascinating region of Transylvania.
Registration includes an assortment of appetizers, an entrée, dessert, non-alcoholic beverage, and tax and tip. The member price is open to both Global Minnesota and Minnesota Hungarians members.
