This August, we’re proud to welcome 2019 international fellows with the World Press Institute and the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program to Minnesota with a special reception, hosted by Global Minnesota corporate member KNOCK, Inc.

This year’s World Press Institute Fellows come from 10 countries including Algeria, Belarus, Finland, and Uruguay. While in Minnesota, they will examine the United States’ free press and media innovations with a focus on nuclear threats and security, journalism in the era of President Trump, the Presidential election, and the role of social media in politics and journalism.

Likewise, the Humphrey Fellows represent countries from around the world including Chad, Kosovo, Libya, South Korea, and Tajikistan. In Minnesota for a year, these fellows will learn about the U.S. cultural, political, and economic systems and further develop a sense of the global context in which they and their countries operate.

Be part of this exclusive event for Global Minnesota members and their guests to meet these international fellows and learn about their cultures, countries, and professional work. The evening includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages. Parking lots are available on Glenwood Ave. (in front of KNOCK, Inc.) and around the corner on Girard Ave. N.

Presented in partnership with KNOCK, Inc., University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs, and the World Press Institute.
