Learn Traditional Mongolian Calligraphy

Step into the world of traditional Mongolian calligraphy and discover the elegance of this ancient art form. Join Global Minnesota for a thoughtfully curated workshop teaching the basics of Mongolian calligraphy. As you practice, you will also learn more about Mongolian culture and history. You’ll take home a finished art piece of your design – write your name, a poem, or look to our expert teacher for suggestions.
All materials are included with registration. Light snacks will be provided.

Featured Artist: Oyun Erdene-Byambadorj
Oyun-Erdene Byambadorj, an international student at the University of St. Thomas, is pursuing a degree in Philosophy. She has seven years of experience in the art of calligraphy and specializes in traditional Mongolian calligraphy. For Oyun-Erdene, calligraphy is far more than an artistic practice; it is a profound mental discipline to find inner peace.
Paid parking is available in the University Avenue Ramp (1926 University Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455) located across the street from Global Minnesota. Street parking in the area is limited.
