Northfield Trip & Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store

This event is being held in-person and is open to international and globally-minded students. 

Join Global Minnesota for a fun afternoon exploring Northfield, Minnesota with international students from across the Twin Cities and Northfield.

The afternoon will kick off with a quick, sweet stop at Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store, followed by a meetup with Northfield international students. Explore Bridge Square and the beautiful Cannon River area together, and discover what makes this charming college town special.

Get ready for the Northfield Discovery Quest! Team up with students from different colleges, explore downtown shops, and complete fun challenges for a memorable time. The afternoon will wrap up with cookies, a group picture, and new friendships.

Please plan to eat before arriving or bring a packed sandwich to enjoy on the road, as there will be no time for a lunch stop. Light snacks will be provided.

• 11:45 am–12:00 pm: Arrival and check-in at Global Minnesota
• 12:20 pm: Depart from Global Minnesota
• 1:20 pm: Twin Cities students visit Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store
• 3:00 pm: Northfield students board the Hiawathaland Express to Just Food Co-op
• 3:20 pm: All Students meet at Bridge Square Fountain to explore Northfield’s Bridge Square and the Cannon River
• 3:50 pm: Northfield Discovery Quest Team Challenge – Explore downtown shops
• 4:40 pm: Cookies, prize drawing, and group picture
• 5:00 pm: Depart for Minneapolis

Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Global Minnesota staff and volunteers will provide transportation, departing from the Global Minnesota office in Minneapolis.
