With a population of 633 million people and a combined GDP more than $5.3 trillion, Latin America is an economic global power, yet boom and bust cycles, political instability, and income inequality have made the region challenging for foreign and domestic companies alike. This year, economists are forecasting a return to economic expansion, with Argentina and Brazil coming out of recessions and accelerated growth in Chile, Colombia, Peru, Central America, and the Caribbean, despite protectionist rumblings in the United States and elsewhere.
Please join us for a discussion on the opportunities and challenges facing Minnesota companies doing business in Latin America, with insights from Bepex, Cargill, and Ecolab.
Topics will include:
- Economic and political climate of the Latin American region
- Impacts of trade agreements, both current and future
