Sample Language

For a Gift of a Certain Dollar Amount in a Will or Trust

“I give to Global Minnesota (EIN 41-0826559 and currently located at 1901 University Ave SE, Mpls., MN 55414) ________ [insert dollar amount] Dollars to be used for its general purposes.”

For a Gift of a Certain Percentage Amount in a Will or Trust

“I give to Global Minnesota (EIN 41-0826559 and currently located at 1901 University Ave SE, Mpls., MN 55414) _____________ [insert percentage amount] Percentage of my estate [or of a particular asset] to be used for its general purposes.”

Global Minnesota as a Beneficiary

Global Minnesota can be named as a beneficiary of an account, such as an IRA or other retirement account, a life insurance policy, or an investment or bank account.  This can be a simple way to contribute to Global Minnesota and generally does not require updating a will or trust.

Request, complete, and submit a new beneficiary designation form with your bank, institution, or investment firm naming Global Minnesota as a primary, secondary, or partial beneficiary.  On the beneficiary designation form use:

Global Minnesota Gift Restrictions

Most donors leave their gifts to Global Minnesota without restriction. This allows the organization to use these funds to help fulfill our mission in the manner most needed when the gift is received. If you wish to designate your gift through your estate, Global Minnesota will honor your stated intent. Designated bequest provisions require additional language.
