Film Screening: This Kind of Hope

This free event is being held in-person and is open to everyone. 

In partnership with the Germanic-American Institute, join Global Minnesota for a free screening of the Swiss/German Documentary “This Kind of Hope”

Released in 2023, the documentary tells the story of diplomat, Andrei Sannikov, who was instrumental in Belarus’ nuclear disarmament in the 1990s. Under President Lukashenko, he resigned from the civil service and began the fight for a democratic Belarus, which cost the lives of companions and landed him in prison for a time. Today, as a stateless diplomat, he tirelessly works to inform audiences about his homeland.

The film is in English, Russian and Belarusian with German subtitles.
