Global Minnesota Fellows Program

The Global Minnesota Fellows Program offers a unique professional development opportunity to a small cohort of Minnesota’s business and community leaders. Starting in mid-September 2026, the Fellows convene monthly for private roundtable discussions with carefully selected high-caliber international experts in addition to meeting throughout the year for additional Global Minnesota World Affairs and Corporate events and dedicated networking opportunities.

Benefits

Monthly (September-June) off-the-record, private roundtables with international experts to build greater understanding of global issues with local relevance.

Quarterly networking receptions with the cohort to build ties within the group as well as support for additional Fellows-led opportunities (workplace tours, informal gatherings, group discussions).

Productive connections and dialogue among participants representing business, government, military, education, and non-profit sectors.

Year-long Global Minnesota membership with further opportunities to participate in substantive policy discussions, invite-only events, and networking.

Access to invite-only Global Minnesota engagements as alumni, and continued participation in quarterly networking opportunities with fresh cohorts as the Fellows program grows. Opportunities to drive ongoing conversations and to draw on new venues for engagement within the expanding Fellows alumni network.

Applications

This summer, Global Minnesota will select a cohort from individual application submissions placed by Global Minnesota Corporate Members, members, partner organizations, and community members. Selection is based on the candidate’s interest in international affairs, ability to contribute to the discussions, current and future leadership potential in the community, and commitment to attend the cohort’s programs and alumni network opportunities. Upon acceptance into the program, all Fellows will be asked to take a short intake survey about interests and availability. Fellows will be notified of their selection by September 10. The program fee is due by September 24.

Program Fees

The total cost for the program is $2,500 for Fellows from the private sector and large nonprofits. For Fellows from small nonprofits ($2M annual budget or less) and the public sector, the program cost is $2,000. Fellows should explore having their participation sponsored by their employers, but are welcome to self-fund as well. Please see the Fellows application form for details.
